Website for First Unitarian Church of Memphis
Church members see current information every time they visit their website homepage, from the personalized revolving banner to upcoming events, Twitter feed, and Facebook presence. They can access a secured area with a members-only directory and important documents. I write compelling content that is informative and accurate. New channels of information were developed including video, news, patient education, and automated ways for patients to communicate with Stern and manage their unique healthcare needs.
Team Collaboration Guides
Location: Internal
Goodwin-Parkinson, L. (Spring 2012)
Large companies that have teams that specialize in unique responsibilities need a way to share and communicate their roles to other teams within the organization. These collaboration guides were designed with that purpose in mind. Understanding what small groups do can help employees work together while, in a broader scope, can represent the company with more insight and ultimately impact customer options and decisions. I designed, wrote, published, and distributed the series of booklets for this purpose.
Simplified Software Solutions (for Kids and Teachers)
Goodwin, L. (1989)
In the earliest days of teaching technology to children, educational software was available. There were built-in settings that you could modify so that, as a child’s skills improved, the software could be customized to meet the student’s needs. I wrote this book in order the provide single-page instructions for teachers to follow with more than one hundred pieces of software. Each page includes valuable information including the grade level that the software was designed for, time required, special features, similar software recommendations, and much more.

Working alongside a FedEx team and based on my camp curriculum development experience, we hosted the camps in several US cities. The experience was the subject of my dissertation: ABC Technology Camp – Preparing Students for the Future (Pepperdine University).
